Rice kadabu recipe

Ingredients:

Pre cooking procedure:

  1. soak rice for 3-4 hrs in water.
  2. drain the rice completely and spread on the paper towel or cotton cloth to remove the extra moisture .
  3. once the rice is dry and moisture is completely removed .pulse it in the mixer .make sure the rice is not finely powdered but of rava consistency .

Procedure:
  1. add 4 cups of water in the vessel
  2. add salt as required and ghee
  3. once the water starts to boil, add grated coconut and pulsed rice slowly and stir continuously in a low to medium flame
  4. turn off the stove when it reaches to dough consistency
  5. make small balls out of it and steam in a idli cooker for about 7-10 mins in a medium flame
  6. serve hot with spicy chutney ,spicy gravy. (Non-veg gravy would be great combination)
